Website Redesign, Maintenance and Bug Fixes in Sri Lanka

When a Sri Lankan business needs a redesign, a bug fix, or monthly maintenance. How XLOXI scopes the work and keeps desktop, tablet and mobile in one build.

Website Redesign, Maintenance and Bug Fixes in Sri Lanka

A website redesign in Sri Lanka is not automatically a new website. Sometimes the business needs a broken form fixed, a page that works on a phone, or a monthly owner for small changes. Putting all of that into a full rebuild throws away URLs that already receive visits.

XLOXI PVT LTD separates those jobs. The company is in Vavuniya. Clients in other districts review the same staging link. New builds and rebuilds are scoped on website development in Sri Lanka.

Three different requests

  • Bug fix. A form, a menu, a checkout step, or a page that fails on one phone. We reproduce it, fix it, and show the before and after. This is not a redesign.
  • Maintenance. A set of hours for content, small layout edits, plugin or app updates, and a person who already knows the site. Useful after launch. It does not repair a structure that was wrong from the start.
  • Redesign. The page no longer matches the offer. New layout, same intent. URLs that already match a search stay. Redirects are used only where a URL truly has to change.

Phone, tablet and desktop are one job

A Sri Lankan customer will often open the site on a phone first. We check a narrow phone, a tablet and a desktop before we call the page done. A desktop-only design that will be made responsive later is an unfinished site. Menus, forms and checkout buttons are part of that check, not a later phase.

SEO during a redesign

Keep the title, the heading and the URL of a page that already matches a search, unless the offer itself has changed. New pages can be added for a new service. Replacing every URL because the design changed is how a redesign loses the visits the old site had earned.

Before launch we list the old addresses, the new addresses, and the ones that must not move. That list is the same discipline as SEO setup in Sri Lanka: one page per intent, then Search Console so you can see whether the new URLs were indexed. If the site is Shopify, visual work stays on theme customization. If it is WordPress, maintenance and rebuilds stay on WordPress development.

A redesign is the wrong project when staff actually need a login and a database. That is full stack development. Describe whether you need a fix, a month of care, or a redesign on the quote form. A link to the broken page is enough for a bug. A list of URLs that already get visits is enough to start a redesign.

Questions we hear

Will a redesign remove our current Google visits?

It can, if every URL changes. We keep addresses that already match a search and redirect only the ones that must move. The design can change without throwing away the page Google already knows.

Is maintenance the same as a bug fix?

No. A bug fix is one reproduced problem. Maintenance is a set of hours for small edits and updates after the site is stable. A broken structure needs a redesign or a rebuild, not a monthly hour that never touches the cause.

Do you rebuild the phone layout separately?

No. Phone, tablet and desktop are checked in the same pass. A page that only works on a wide screen is not finished.

Can you take over a site another company built?

Yes, after we can open the hosting, the theme or the repository. The first job is often a bug fix or a short maintenance month so we learn the site before anyone talks about a redesign.
