How Much Does a Shopify Store Cost in Sri Lanka?

Shopify website cost in Sri Lanka depends on catalogue size, theme work, PayHere and whether you need custom apps. Here is what changes the price — without a fake package number.

The honest answer to Shopify website cost in Sri Lanka is that there is no single package price. A store with forty products and a customized theme is a different job from a B2B catalogue with a private app. Anyone who quotes one number before they see the catalogue is guessing.

XLOXI PVT LTD quotes after a short scope. This article is the checklist behind that quote — what raises the cost, what you can leave out of version one, and how to ask for a number that still means something after launch.

Three kinds of Shopify build

Most Sri Lankan briefs fall into one of three buckets. Mixing them in the first conversation is how quotes go wrong.

  • Simple launch. A proven theme, products and collections, domain, shipping zones, and a working checkout. You can add products yourself after handoff.
  • Theme customization. Brand layout, custom Online Store 2.0 sections, homepage and collection work that is not the demo store. Still one store, still no custom app.
  • Custom app or B2B. Wholesale pricing, approval flows, or a workflow the App Store cannot cover. This is a software project sitting next to the store, not a theme tweak.

A simple launch is shorter. Custom apps take longer and cost more because they need spec, testing and maintenance. If your first email only says “Shopify website,” we will ask which of these you actually need.

What actually changes the price

These are the variables XLOXI looks at before sending a number.

  • Product count and structure. Twenty SKUs with clean photos is not the same as five hundred variants, missing images and no collections.
  • PayHere and other gateways. Local checkout has to be configured and tested. Export stores often need a second processor. That is setup work, not a plugin click.
  • Custom Liquid. Extra sections, unusual product pages, or a homepage that cannot be done with theme settings.
  • B2B. Customer accounts, hidden prices, quote or approval flows. These are not theme options.
  • Migration. Moving from WooCommerce or another platform with URLs that already rank. Redirects and data mapping add time.

Shopify’s own monthly plan is separate from development. The plan is a subscription. The build is the project. Do not compare a developer quote to the price of the Basic plan as if they were the same line item.

What not to put in version one

Cost goes up when the first launch tries to be the final store. These usually wait until you have real orders.

  • A stack of apps “in case we need them.” Each one can slow the store and add monthly fees.
  • A fully custom checkout on a standard Shopify plan. Checkout is limited until you are on a plan that allows it.
  • A custom app for a process you have not run yet. Run it manually for a month, then automate.
  • Every language, every market, every payment method on day one. Start with the market that will place the first order.

Version one should take a real payment, show the right shipping, and let you add products without breaking the layout. Everything else is a later sprint.

How to get a useful quote

Send four facts: product count, whether the store is new or a rebuild, whether you sell only in Sri Lanka, and whether you need wholesale or a custom workflow. With that, a Shopify Partner can tell you which of the three builds you are in.

Store configuration is covered on Shopify store setup Sri Lanka. The wider topic list is on Sri Lanka Shopify. When you are ready for a scoped number, use the quote form — catalogue size and sales channel are enough for a first reply.
